She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Benjamin and Martha Elizabeth Stubblefield; her sister Mary Elizabeth Hodges; her brother-in-law James; her brother Allen Benjamin Stubblefield, Jr; and her son John Stubblefield Carter.
She is survived by: her spouse Denver Lamar Carter, Sr.; her sons, Bubba, Denver Carter, Jr. (Jane) of Magee, MS and William Carter (Bill) of Houston, TX; her daughter-in-law Carmen Carter of New Orleans, LA; and her grandchildren, Denver Carter, III (Amarilys) of Magee, MS, Mariel Hubbard (Brandon) of Magee, MS and Keleigh Cleveland (Tres) of Birmingham, AL.. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
