She was predeceased by: her parents, Deward William Canoy and Mildred Thompson Canoy Ferrell; her brothers, Ran Canoy and Tony Canoy; and her grandmother Onie May Canoy.
She is survived by: her niece Christy Welch Roberts; her close friend Beverly Magee; her sister Brenda Canoy Hutto; and her nephew Willie Welch.
