He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Allen Purser; his daughter Sara Jane Purser; his parents, Breland Purser and Pearlie Purser; his great grandchildren, Heidi Morgan Purser and Carson Judene Purser; his daughter-in-law Patricia Purser; and his siblings, Willie Ray Purser, Johnnie Cecil Purser and Mary Nell Mathis.
He is survived by: his children, Billy J. Purser of Magee, Dr. Ronald D. Purser (Brenda) of Collins, Judy Purser Roberts (Billy) of Florence, Susan Purser Cobb (Bo) of Mize and Sherry Purser Meadows (Mike) of Mt. Olive; and his sisters, Jewel Grace Harper (Tommy) of Pineville, LA, Sandra Ware of Laurel and Peggy Thornton of Magee. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren.
