It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Thomas Abernathy of Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on November 27, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Wilda Abernathy; his parents, Thomas Abernathy and Rosie Abernathy; and his sister Lennie Bridges (Feddie). He is survived by: his wife Emma Abernathy; his daughters, Debra Alsobrooks and Lisa Waller (Charles); his grandchildren, John Austin Waller (Jessica), Victoria Ferrell (Colby) and Karley Waller; his great grandchildren, Dallas Ferrell, JP Waller, Jackson Waller, Abigail Ferrell and Stella Ferrell; and his siblings, Annlea Walker, Jimmy Abernathy, Irene Rogers and Pat Abernathy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other family members.
