It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Earl Hays Sr. of Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on October 11, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Donna Hays Brown; his parents, James Berry Hays and Lamire Hancock Hays; his siblings, Jim Hays, Mollie Hays Sowell and Helen Barr; and his grandson Hunter Degueyter.
He is survived by: his wife Vicki McWilliams Hays of Magee, MS; his children, David Hays (Marsha), Jay Hays (Amanda), Tammy Hays Degueyter (Brian), Cindy Hays Peter (Steven) and Amanda Hays Lott (Andy); and his sister-in-law Linda Hays. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews.
