Jean C. Hopkins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean C. Hopkins of Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Timothy Franklin Canoy and Lola Belle Bishop Canoy; her siblings, Leon Canoy (Amelia), Dick Canoy (Glenda), Timothy Canoy, Cody Canoy (Bobbie Jean) and Sadie Thornton (Joe); and her brothers-in-law, Tommy Barnes and Colon Kennedy.
She is survived by: her children, David Hopkins (Lenice), Glenn Hopkins (Regina) and Patricia Harvey (Randy); and her siblings, Travis Canoy (Pat), Beatrice Kennedy and Joanna Barnes. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tutor Funeral Home - Magee (822 Simpson Hwy 149, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
