He was predeceased by: his children, Jimmy Wayne Hollie, Mary Catherine Burkes, Jessie Louise Buffington and Betty Jean Burkes; his parents, Barney E. McGriff and Cora Mae Smith McGriff; his brothers, Elery Shelton McGriff and Lee Matthew McGriff; and his grandsons, George Higgins, Jr., Mark Buffington and Cecil Burkes.
He is survived by: his wife Bonita Jordan McGriff; his children, James Edward Hollie, Robert Mitchell Jordan, Syble Sheaffer, Linda Michelle McGriff and Joanna Higgins; and his godson Chris Allen. He is also survived by 11 Grandkids; and a host of great grandkids, other family, and friends.
