It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hattie Marilyn Hughes of Magee, Mississippi, who passed away on November 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Hughes; her son Jeffrey Mitchum (Teresa); her parents, Melvin Calhoun Herrington and Mardell Jordan Herrington; and her siblings, Johnny Wayne Herrington, Mary Cronley and Merle Ingram.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Mitchum (Becky) and Lisa Mitchum Daniel (Eddie); her grandchildren, April Mitchum, Will Daniel, Misty Presley, Jill Daniel, Ashley Herrington, Jeffrey Mitchum, Matthew Mitchum, Thomas Mitchum, Josh Mitchum, Samuel Mitchum, Alicia Mitchum, Megan Mitchum and Carlee Mitchum; and her brother Melvin Dale Herrington (Ann). She is also survived by twenty-five great grandchildren.
