He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Jefferson Purvis and Cora Jane Rankin Purvis; and his siblings, Rev. Willis Norman Purvis (Avis), John L Purvis, Annie Rea Purvis Womack (Cordis), Vernell Purvis Jones (Amzie), Katie Ruth Purvis Barnes (Troy), Jean Purvis Barnard (Wardell) and June Purvis Whitley.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Purvis (Tammy) of Hattiesburg, Lee Purvis (Lisa) of Flowood, Stan Purvis (Jill) of Ridgeland and Anna Purvis Mills (Carter) of Daphne, AL; his grandchildren, Kayla Purvis Weathers (Ross), Karlyn Purvis, Megan Purvis, Taylor Purvis (Lana), Lee Purvis Jr. (Tori), William Purvis, David Purvis, Andrew Purvis, Emma Mills, Abby Mills, Ashley Moon Wood (Matt) and Lindsey Moon Friel (Chris); his great grandchildren, Easton Weathers, Lane Weathers, Parker Purvis, Morgan Purvis, Mallory Purvis, Miles Mills, Reese Wood, Lillee Strickland and Laney Friel; and the mother of his children Carolyn Harris Purvis of Picayune, MS..
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Tutor Funeral Home - Magee (822 Simpson Hwy 149, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenn's memory to Samaritan's Purse.
