She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis May and Myrtle May (Brown); her husband W. H. Hinton, Jr.; and her siblings, Travis May, Grady May, Tillman May and Phenia Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Phil Hinton (Susan), Marilyn Rutland, Joyce May and Sandra Prestwood (Steve); and her brothers, Curvin May (Sue) and John Coleman. She is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
