He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Herrington and Nellie Dee Parker Herrington; his uncle Oscar Brown; and his aunt Margaret Parker Brown. He is survived by: his wife Kay Sellers Herrington; his son Brian Scott Herrington (Ashley); his grandchildren, Brian Scott Herrington, Jr., Lylla Herrington, Audranna Herrington, James Herrington and Charlie Herrington; and his nephew Hal Bowman (Karen). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee (302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (124 Gather Johnson Rd, Magee, MS 39111).
