He was predeceased by: his parents, Burl Sims and Mavis Valentine Sims; and his daughter Christy Sullivan. He is survived by: his son Kevin Sims; his sisters, June Green and Diane Slay; and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sullivan Carrell, Amelia Sullivan and Jacob Sullivan.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Shady Grove Baptist Church (9288 Scr 503 S, Magee, MS 39116).
