He was predeceased by: his parents, Nattie Rainey (Weathersby) and Roy Rainey; and his siblings, Charles Larry Rainey, Sue Saranthus and Evelyn Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Julie Rainey (Cook); his children, Alonzo Bud Rainey, Jeffrey Rainey, James T Hall, Michelle Rainey, Tina Olney (Tony) and Addie Henderson (Randy); and his brothers, James Rainey (Becky) and Roger Lee. He is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
