He was predeceased by: his parents, Liesso Weatherford and Ethel Weatherford; and his brother Gerald Weatherford. He is survived by: his children, Pat Weatherford and Pam Cason; his siblings, John Weatherford and Juanita Stephenson; his grandchildren, Timothy Doersam, Emily, Charlie and Maddie Cason; and his great grandchild Kenneth James Freeman.
In true altruistic fashion, he ultimately chose to completely retire from any job so that he could move to Mississippi to donate a kidney to his brother.
