He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvie E. Varner and Miriam W. Varner; and his wife Betty Aultman of Hattiesburg, MS. He is survived by: his children, Debbie V. Hilliard and J. Lane Varner (Judy) of Terry, MS.; and his granddaughters, Lindsey Hilliard of Madison, Sarah Phillips (Zach) of Madison, Hannah Graham (Knox) of Madison and Faith McCarty (Austin) of Oxford, MS.. He is also survived by Four Great-Grandchildren, six nieces, three nephews, and two first cousins.
