He is survived by: his brother Scott Carter; his parents, Jewell Duncan Scott and Anne Gialenes; his wife Natalene; his daughters, Sonjia Fowler, Cathy Freeman (Jef) and Kim Thompson (James); his grandchildren, Brad Fowler (Stephanie), Michael Hanly (Jessica McFerrin), Alexis Boutwell (Timothy), Brooke Stanley (Justin Ivey) and Morgan Thompson; his great grandchildren, Bryce, Peyton, Dalton, Myles, Hadley and Hayven; and his siblings, Glen "Chico" Scott and Janath Ann Scott. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
