He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGarity and Mary Frances Mackey McGarity. He is survived by: his wife Betty McGarity; his daughter Donna Weatherwax (Larry) of Denver, CO; his stepsons, John Harless (Sage) of Denver, CO and Christopher Harless (Jana) of Ridgeland, MS; and his siblings, Alice Faye Milner (Marcus) of Morristown, TN and Robert McGarity (Diane) of Lillian, AL. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
