He is survived by: his wife Jean Jackson Wilks; his children, Lou Ann Wilks Flatgard (Spence) and Palmer; his sister Janice Wilkes Townshend; his grandchildren, Andie Wilks Flatgard, Catherine Ann Wilks-Powell (Joshua) and Alexander Palmer Wilks; his stepchildren, Stacy Jackson Davis and Leslie Jackson Hoggatt (William); and his stepgrandchildren, Anne Hayes Davis, Joseph Andrew Davis, Zachary Joseph Hoggatt and Lamar Jackson Hoggatt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
