He was predeceased by: his wives, Lena Baker Higdon and Bettye J. Steele Higdon; his daughter Paula J. Higdon; his parents, Walter A. Higdon and Mattie Lou Dromgoole; and his siblings, Willie Lee Higdon (Essie), Walter D. Higdon (Aileen), Nellie Walker (Higdon), Charlene Warren, Monteal Walker (Odell) and Lora Mae Forester (Louie).
He is survived by: his children, Sondra Hardin (Steve) of Madison, Michael Higdon of Land, Gordon Baker of Plano, TX and Phil Baker of Orlando, FL; and his grandchildren, Shannon Watkins (Billy M.), Rob Higdon (Pennie), Steele Hardin (Sarah Beth), Sarah Pigg (Kolton), Marta Baker, Patrick Baker, Laura Adelson and Emma Adelson. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob's honor can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Mississippi.
