She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Vernon Nichols and Virginia McKie Nichols; her husband Logan B. Phillips; her grandson William "Nichols" Phillips, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Janice Phillips; and her brother Thomas Vernon Nichols, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Logan B. Phillips, Jr. (Claire), William N. Phillips (Beverly), Virginia P. Primos (Don) and Vernon L. Phillips (Denise); her grandchildren, Logan B. Phillips, III, Meg Reeves (Len), S. Mason Phillips (Laura), Mallory Thompson, Meredith Lusco (Matthew), Mary Claire Primos, Paige McWay (Drew), Frances Phillips and Lamar Phillips; and her sister Wanda Nichols Doolittle. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Always entertaining, even in her "covid detention" in the nursing home, she would sing for the staff and the patients her favorite hymns.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Batson's Hospital for Children or a charity of choice.
