He was predeceased by: his parents, Eris Elvin Truitt and Miss Eltha Spruill; and his brother Eris Elvin Truitt, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Truitt; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Guess (Walter), Earline Eldridge and Jerry Whittington (Shelia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
