We are sad to announce that on February 11, 2025, at the age of 105, Lula Eva Strode (Madison, Mississippi), born in Jefferson City, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandmother Lou of Women's Suffrage; her son Dan Strode (Kathy); her parent Evelyn Heether (Granma Dolly); and her son Steven Strode. She is survived by: her husband Willis J. Strode, Sr.; her sons, Stevie and Bill Jr. (Kelly); her grandchildren, Chris Strode (Stephanie), Erica Nigrelli (Nathan), Lindsay Lacy (Stephen), Chase Strode (Laura Heggins-Strode), DeAnna Simons and Addie Shoemaker (Clay); and her great grandchildren, Carter, Riley, Emily, Elayna of Avery, J. J., Lexi, Clara and Kaisen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (2100 Main St, Madison, MS 39110). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Natchez Memorial Park Cemetery (759 US-51, Madison, MS 39110).
