He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleodis Hughes and Bonnie Osborne Hughes; his wife Karen Hughes; and his brother James Edward Hughes. He is survived by: his friend Lisa Brown; his children, Larry Anderson Hughes Jr. (Annie) of Scott, MS and Angela Victoria Hughes (David Macvaugh); his siblings, Rita Bradley (EdNick) of Wynn, AR, Rhonda Hynum of Brandon, MS, Barbara Simpson (Howard) of Flora, MS, Sam Hughes of Vivian, LA and Stanley Hughes of Yazoo City, MS; and his grandchildren, Hartley Elizabeth Hughes, Barrett Anderson Hughes and Victoria Ann Macvaugh.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mortimer Funeral Home (711 US-82, Greenville, MS 38701). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
