He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Gammill and Callie Gammill; his sisters, Frances Bradberry and Mary Joe Bennett; his wife Hazel Johnson Gammill; his children, Janet Lynn Bates (Donald) and Jimmy R. Gammill (Regina); his grandchildren, William J Bates (Marley) and Callie Claire Gammill; and his great grandchild McLain Louise Bates.
