Lewis and Helen Owen Lewis; his aunt Gay Lewis Dickerson Brown; his uncle James Wendell Lewis; and his mother-in-law Patricia Jane Adams.
He is survived by: his husband James Kimble Abney; his pets, Remy and Ali; his siblings, Jeff Etheridge (Julie Caston Etheridge), Andy Etheridge (Shelie Griffith Etheridge) and Marlene Etheridge; his sisters-in-law, Melissa Abney Rand and Patricia Abney May; and his nieces and nephews, Jillian Etheridge, Olivia Etheridge, Madison Etheridge, Laney Etheridge, Madelyn May, Tyler Etheridge, Caston Etheridge, Devin Griffith, Joshua Rand and Andrew Rand.
