She is survived by: her daughter Kelley Elizabeth (Scot) of Jackson, TN; her husband Dr. Harry Gilmer; her daughter Jennifer Carter (Carl) of Madison, MS; her brother John Herron (Donna) of Hartwell, GA; and her grandchildren, Lauren Whitaker (Courtney), Emily Whitaker Privitt (Dale) and Mia Grace Carter of Jackson, MS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and a great-grandchild.
