She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Leon Mobley and Thelma Strong Mobley; and her husband James William Young of Pheba. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Taylor (Tony) and James William Young, Jr. (Jim); her sisters, Katherine Ramsey, Betty Denley of Utica and Virgina Berry of Longview, Texas.; her grandchildren, Taylor Armstrong, Lauren Girod (Hayes), Dionna Wood, Mike Taylor (Katie), Annie Young, William Young (Faith), Emily Young and Mary Seitz Spratlin (Cade); and her great grandchildren, Harper, Willow Armstrong, Mac, Arty, Mattie Lou Girod, Watkins Wood and Bennett Young. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Madison (2100 Main St, Madison, MS 39110). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Canopy Children's Solutions, LeBonheur Hospital or First Baptist Church Madison.
