She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Homer Pounds and Rubye Lurleen Dickerson Pounds; her daughter Janice Leigh Kersh; her siblings, Rubye Faye Pounds Odom, Emily Jane Pounds, Thomas Richard Pounds, James Ray Pounds and Lowell Russell Pounds; and the father of her children Robert Harold Kersh, Sr..

She is survived by: her son Robert Harold "Bob" Kersh of Jackson; and her sister-in-law Bonnie Curtis Pounds of Laurel. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
