She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Aldon Black and Eugenia Howell Black; and her sisters, Peggy Cheape Hardin and Linda Black of Atlanta. She is survived by: her children, Michael Black Mitchell of Oxford, Sylvia Caroline, Lillian Grace Camille, Eliza Jolynn, Zachary Samuel and Jeremy Wyatt; her significant other Elmer Thurmond; her nephew Scott Howell Hardin of Atlanta; and her niece Amy Caroline Hardin Chambers of Atlanta. She is also survived by five great-nephews and great-nieces; numerous cousins and many dear friends.
