He is survived by: his wife Linda Robinson Barnett; his daughters, Kimberly Simmons of Flora, MS and Tina Barnett of Columbus; his stepsons, Robie DeShazo of Corpus Christi, TX and Cameron DeShazo of Fairhope, AL; his sister Margaret Gary of Pearl, MS.; and his grandchildren, Morgan Mendenhall, Trey Deshazo, Will DeShazo, Landon Purvis, Zach Simmons, Cam DeShazo, Duncan DeShazo, Mia DeShazo and Ellie DeShazo. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
