It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Spann (Macon, Mississippi), who passed away on October 11, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Spann Sr. and Fannie Rae Terry Spann; and his brothers, Willie Spann Jr. (Bubba), Johnnie Ray Terry (Brotha) and Henry Spann (Bud).
He is survived by: his close friend Stella; his stepson Willie D. Stewart Jr.; his siblings, Curtis Spann of St. Louis, MO, Thomas Spann of St. Louis, MO, Jennie Spann of St. Louis, MO, David Spann of Memphis, TN, Leo Spann of Texas, Terry Ann Cross of Texas, Asyline Spann of Texas and Cleo Tarpley of Texas; his stepdaughters, Tina Robertson, Tonya Stewart and Yolanda White; his grandchildren, Cortez, Vortez, James Jr., Christopher, Chrishad, Carter, Hunter, Harley, Kennedi and Olivia; and his cousin Mary Kirkland. He is also survived by his children as his very own, a host of nieces, nephews.
