With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Erma Lou Penick of Macon, Mississippi, born in Sumrall, Mississippi, who passed away on November 27, 2021 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Vernon "Dut" Sumrall and Lillie Mollie Rayborn Sumrall; her husband Gene; and her siblings, Vern Sumrall, Arnell Sumrall Dossett, Marlon Sumrall, Yvonne Couch and Jimmie Slade.
She is survived by: her sons, Gene Penick Jr. (Julia Joe) and Ray Penick (Catherine "Pooh"); her grandchildren, Gina Penick McLean (Jeff), Macki Penick Smith (Jeff), Rayce Penick (Allison) and Claire Gaither; her great grandchildren, Kimberly Johnson (Curtis), Stephanie Wilson (Bryan), TJ McLean, Mackinzie Smith, Adelyn Smith, Adessa Smith, Jack Blair and Willow Blair; and her great great grandchildren, Patrick Wilson, Lydia Wilson and Alasdair Wilson. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
