He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Vandevender and Onie Patterson Vandevender; his wife Vivian Burrage Vandevender; and his sibling Elzie "Bob" Vandevender. He is survived by: his siblings, Christine Clark of Macon, MS, Ernestine Lee of Louisville, MS, Elvis Vandevender of Louisville, MS. and Elmer "Rufus" Vandevender of Louisville, MS.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
