She was predeceased by: her parents, Matt Lee Lowery and Gardner Lee McCoy; her children, Willie "Bill" Shamily and Arlean Maxwell; and her siblings, Willie Eddie McCoy, Sammie Lee McCoy, James E. McCoy, J. C. McCoy, Mary Jane Johnson and Ora Lee Ballard.
She is survived by: her children, Asalean Shamily (James) of Macon, MS, Mary D. Shamily of Macon, MS, Earnest B. Shamily (Patricia) of Louis, MD, Jesse James Shamily (Ethel) of Macon, MS and Joseph Shamily of Macon, MS; and her siblings, Robert Earl McCoy (Rosie) of Macon, MS, Mary Earl Clanton (John) of Macon, MS and Selma Lee Boykin of Macon, MS. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
