She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Sturdivant and Henrietta Sturdivant; her husband Alex Ivy; her sons, Alvin Ivy, Elder Connie Boatman and Howard P. Boatman; and her siblings, Mamie D. Wayne, Kisie A. Williams, Aretha Sturdivant Tate, Calvin Sturdivant, Jr., Aaron Sturdivant, Moses Sturdivant and Charlie Sturdivant.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Hinton (Eddie) of Houston, TX, Laris Wells (Thurman) of Chicago, IL., Marilyn Spivey of Naperville, IL., Henrietta Key (Jim) of Macon, MS, George Ivy (Mary) of Chicago, IL, Harrison Ivy (Laura) of Columbus, MS and Minister Jerome Ivy (Deloris) of Indianapolis, IN; her sister Addie Bush of Riverdale, IL; and her daughter-in-law Lorraine Boatman of South Holland, IL. She is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, forty seven great grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
