She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Ellis and Queen Esther Ellis (Stewart); her siblings, Henry, Robert, Elbert, Willie, Jimmie Ellis, Sarah Johnson and Sallie Jones; and her daughters, Sandra Gail Black and Carolyn Black Johnson.
She is survived by: her husband Lonzell Black, Sr.; her children, Oliver W. Black, Sr. (Shelia) of Macon, MS, Lonzell Black, Jr. (Mary) of Macon, MS, Romell Black (Pamela) of Shuqualak, MS, Matthew Black, Sr. (Katina) of Macon, MS, Detrick M. Black of Macon, MS and Tiny R. Goodwin (Albert) of Macon, MS; her son-in-law Charles F. Johnson, Sr. of West Point, MS; and her brothers, Emmitt Ellis of Columbus, MS and Earnest Ellis of Columbus, MS. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
