He was predeceased by: his parents, L. B. Pope and Louise Duncan Pope; and his sister Sadie Pope. He is survived by: his fiancée Doris G. Stewart; his children, Catherine M. McKinstry (DeAndre) of Pickens County, AL and Calvin Little of Pickens County, AL; his stepson Rufus Stewart, Jr. (Sherita) of Brooksville, MS; his siblings, Elmer Pope (Loree) of Pickens County, AL, Veronica Pope of Pickens County, AL and Dorris Pope of Pickens County, AL; and his grandchildren, Ijilreah Thomas, Paisley Mc Kinstry, Delvion Walker and Calyx Walker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and one great-great nephew.
