It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James LeVaughn Thompson of Maben, Mississippi, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Spears Thompson of Zama, MS.; his wife Helen; his parent Conner Thompson; and his siblings, Erma Murray and Teddy Thompson.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kayla Schoolar (Max) of Maben, Taylor Norwood (Callie) of Maben and Carson Norwood of Maben; his great grandchildren, Wesson Norwood, Carter Norwood, Everette Norwood, Bonner Norwood and Kyson Schoolar; and his sister Peggy Sue Slater of Kosciusko.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Center Grove Baptist Church (146 Center Grove Rd, Maben, MS 39750). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to CENTER GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY FUND 146 Center Grove Rd. Maben, MS 39750.
