He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola "Peanut" Courtney and Leema Lou Courtney. He is survived by: his sister Tommie Lou Ingram; his brother-in-law Sammy Reesor; his children, Theresa Brown (Thomas), Bradley Courtney (Deborah), Lori Grant, Nathan Courtney (Ann) and Nicole Link (Chris); his siblings, Dolores Carter (Robert), Elaine Reesor and Herbert Courtney; and his brother-in-law Marvin Ingram. He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
