He was predeceased by: his parents, John Louis Summers and Nellie Orr Summers; and his siblings, John Louis Summers, Forrest Summers, Mamie McRee and Katherine Martensen.
He is survived by: his son Charles Mark Summers (Angela); his grandchildren, Alex Smith (Kyle), Arin Summers and Jessica Spiers (Blake); his great grandchildren, Tenley Smith, Vayda Spiers, Verny Spiers and Cross Smith; and his sister Vinette McClain. He is also survived by his family and friends.
