David F Borchert Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David F Borchert of Lumberton, Mississippi, born in Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on May 25, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Borchert and Hazel Melvina Ballinger Borchert; his former wife Joan Cook Borchert; his grandson Jordan McNair; and also, Arthur Cook, Maude McMurray Cook, Mona Cook Sweet (Kenneth), Nancy Cook Meyer (Donald), Christine Stigall Taylor, Mary Dillenkoffer (George), Billie Spanier, William Taylor and Donna Goodman.

He is survived by: his wife Demerice Taylor Borchert; his children, David Borchert (Paula), Loa Borchert, Lisa Borchert Thompson (Keith), Leslie Borchert Ockman (Jerry J. Ockman, Jr.), Debbie Riley Kraemer (late Paul) and Brenda Riley Willard (Barry); his siblings, Shirley Borchert Abbey (late Keith), Mary Borchert Dunsmoor (late Fred) and Karolyn Borchert Ferguson (Glenn); his grandchildren, David "Josh" Borchert (Courtney Lyons), Matthew Borchert, Matthew Taylor, Benjamin Thompson, David Thompson (Emma), Catherine Ockman (Eduardo Perez), Jacob Ockman (Vy), Brice Ockman, Jessie Kraemer (Limmie Bailey) and Trevor Willard; and his great grandchildren, Melody Thompson, Owen Kelley and Cammie Bailey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
