He was predeceased by: his wife Connie Dement; his parents, Wyatt Dement and Iris Dement; and his brothers, Wendell Dement, Frank Dement, Edwin Dement, Dewey Dement and Buddy Herrington.
He is survived by: his children, David Ransome Dement (Rebecca), Dewayne Dement (Annabelle), Dewyatt Dement (Mandy), Derrick Dement (Faith) and Ewanda Dement; his siblings, Noah Dement, Sr., Brian Temples (Penny), Bobbie Thompson (Leon), Darlous Herrington, Gloria June Johnson (Frank), Cola Cameron (Stan) and Carla Dubose (John); his grandchildren, Stephanie Allred (Kendell), Tara Boone (Devion), Gabby Sanford, Bradley "Bubba" Sanford, Zoey Sanford, Hailey Dement, Tucker Dement, Brayden Dement, Dean Dement and Graysen Dement; and his great grandchildren, Annelaine, Bellamy, David and Theo. He is also survived by Nieces, Nephews and In-Laws.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brushy Creek Baptist Church (10 Bay Creek Rd, Lumberton, MS 39455). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
