He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Holden and Vernie Holden; his son Richard Holden; and his siblings, Horace Holden, Lee Roy Holden, Julius Holden, Melvin Holden, Thomas Holden, Winona Holden, Leona Holt, Evelyn Tyson, Eloise Frere, Loretta Jones, Shirley Swanner and Peggy Holden.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Holden; his children, Russell Holden, Timothy Holden and Shira Salley (Robert); his granddaughter Nicole Williams; his great grandchildren, Addison Williams and Annabella Hinton; and his sisters, Hilda Sapera and Jane Dees. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
