With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edgar Lamar Simpson of Ludlow, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 25, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vilas "Sonny" Lamar Simpson and Maybell Everett Simpson; his daughter Sherry Sims; his brother James William "Tat" Simpson; his nephew Joey Tynes; and his stepson Walter Crapps, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Dagmar Simpson of Ludlow; his children, Vicky Rogers (Reed), Nicole Buffington (Matthew), Karola Boatman, Patricia Parker (Glen), Vickie Turnage (Edmond) and James Crapps; and his siblings, Linda Tynes (Joe), Mallie Rae Parker (Percy), Melvin "Manny" Simpson (Cindy) and Evelyn Fair (Joe). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
