It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Arnold Thaggard Sr. of Lucedale, Mississippi, born in Greenville, Alabama, who passed away on September 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Inez Thaggard and Luther Thaggard; and his siblings, Sue, Jessie Frank and Harvery Lee.

He is survived by: his children, Arnold Thaggard (Mary), Gerald Thaggard and Kristie Thaggard; and his grandchildren, Clifton, Christopher, Brandon, Heather, Courtney, Chad and Ethan.
