It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Janell Vise Purvis Mosley of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouses, Sidney Purvis and Bill Mosley; her parents, Hardy Devoe Vise Sr. and Ruby Thigpen Vise; and her sisters, Helen Vise Flora and Willene Johnson (George).
She is survived by: her children, Earl Purvis (Connie), Pennye Grant, Connie Canning (John), Edna Ward (Ben) and Eric Purvis (Melit); her siblings, Hardy Devoe Vise Jr. (Sandra), James "Jimmy" Vise (Gussie) and Kay Vise Passeau (Claude); and her pet Lucy Jane Mosley. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
