He is survived by: his children, Monica Elkins (Scott), Bridget Slay, Chad Steede (Paige) and Nell Hyatt; his grandchildren, Meisha Mizell (Corey), Chet Elkins, Blain Slay (Justin Fallin), Baylee Slay, Brock Slay (Haley Ware), Chaston Williams (Matthew), Charity Eubanks (Canyon), Skylar Steede, Alexis Broderick (John) and Chandler Combs; his great grandchildren, Aurora Tanner, Ariel Tanner, Arena Belle Tanner, Kohen Mizell, Gemma Josephin Slay, Oakley Paige Eubanks, Layken Eubanks, Maverick Williams and Wyatt Williams; his siblings, Buck Steede (Ginger), Chester Steede (Debbie), Dorothy Gentry (George), Darrell Steede (Frances) and Garrell Steede; and his sister-in-law Sandra Steede. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
