She was predeceased by: her husband David W. "Monkey" Mizell; her parents, Jesse Marion Gibson and Velma Adams Gibson Churchwell; and her siblings, Robert Gibson, Burnice Howell, JC Howell and Carlton Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Lavelle McGalliard (Reggie) of Alexander City, Beverly Cottingham (Ronnie) of Lucedale, Peggy Miller (Robert) of Lucedale, David Mizell (Betty) of Gautier, Randy Mizell (Beth) of Lucedale and Jimmie Mizell (Sandi) of Lucedale. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
