She was predeceased by: her husband William Layton Fitzgerald; her parents, Joseph Pippins and Mattie Pippins Locke; her children, Stephen "Steve" Commander and Pamela Jean Commander; and her grandchildren, Dana Lynn Bonner and Thomas "Shane" Wheeler.
She is survived by: her son Stanley Commander (Dorothy); and her grandchildren, Ashley Vickers (Jase), Shelley Griggers (Cody), Cole Commander (Hillaria), Chassity Baggett (Joe), Chad Crabtree and Michael Bonner. She is also survived by many other great-grandchildren.
