It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Evelyn Johnson of Lucedale, Mississippi, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on December 19, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Davis and Edith Davis (Tanner); her husband James Carlton Johnson; her daughters, Brenda Carol and Lorie Lynn Johnson; and her siblings, Effie Davis, Essie Hinton, Selma Stringfellow, Esther Stringfellow, Irene Thornton, Eunice Kyles, Edith Mae Johnson, John Davis, Leo Davis, Bobby Goff and Louise Stringfellow.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Sullivan (Wendell), Carl Johnson (Priscilla) and Mark Johnson (Jackie); and her sisters, Cora Lee Tanner and Nettie Stringfellow. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren.
